Hatchet Lake Goes to Polls

Election day is going ahead on the Hatchet Lake First Nation today.

Four people are running for the position of chief, including incumbent Bart Tsannie.

Alec Josie, Alex Besskkaystaie and Charlie Denechezhe are challenging him for the job.

Fourteen people, including five incumbents, are running for the six councillor positions.

Polls are open until 6 p.m. tonight and from 9 til noon tomorrow.
